Richmond may have been well known for its friars in the Middle Ages - but a twenty-first century version has been making a mark in the town.
Bev Partridge, who runs Castle Fisheries, has scooped a national award within eight weeks of opening the newest fish and chip shop in Richmond Market Place.
The Seafish Friers Quality Award is only presented to businesses which meet exacting standards throughout - and Castle Fisheries won recognition for not just its excellent fish and chips but its high levels of hygiene and friendly staff.
