POLICE are appealing for information after a woman was robbed in a car park.
The attack happened at about 3pm on Friday behind the Safeway supermarket in High Street, Yarm, near Stockton.
A 53-year-old woman, who had moments earlier parked her car, had her handbag grabbed by a man who was then driven off in a L-reg, blue Ford Escort.
The car had been stolen from the Southern Cross pub, Marton, Middlesbrough, last Wednesday.
Although not hurt, the woman was badly shocked.
There was no money in the bag, but credit cards and other personal items were taken, some of which were later found dumped at Stainton, Middlesbrough.
The attacker was about 5ft 9in, slim, and wearing dark tracksuit bottoms and a dark top. He was also wearing a baseball cap.
Anyone with information is asked to contact Stockton police on (01642) 243711.
