PROPS HELP: Eaglescliffe's Centre Stage Theatre Group is asking for help to find props for its production of the musical Me and My Girl. The group is looking for a bath chair, tailcoats, black dresses and white-bibbed aprons. Anyone who may be able to help, or for more information, call Maureen and John Tait on (01642) 782649. The musical will be staged at Egglescliffe Community Centre, Eaglescliffe, from Monday to Saturday, June 16 to 21. Performances start at 7.30pm Monday to Friday, and 6.30pm on the Saturday. LACE DAY: Cleveland Lace Day takes place at the Egglescliffe Community Centre, Eaglescliffe, on Saturday, June 14, from 10am to 3.30pm. CENTRE ACTIVITIES: The following activities are available at Egglescliffe Community Centre, in Eaglescliffe. Carpet bowls takes place on Mondays at 7pm, for mixed groups, with a women-only session on Tuesdays at 2pm. Admission is £1 and details are available from Mr Appleton on (01642) 652530. CONCERT DATE: The Sydenham Singers will perform at Egglescliffe Community Centre, Eaglescliffe, on Thursday, June 26, at 7.45pm, not on June 12 as originally advertised. The concert is in aid of the Great North Air Ambulance. Admission is £2, to include refreshments.
CHARITY FAIR: Yarm Charity Fair, organised by Yarm District Lions Club on behalf of Yarm Town Council, takes place from 1pm to 4pm on Sunday in the High Street. Activities on offer include a Punch and Judy show and a display by Teesside Voluntary Emergency Services. There will also be a fun dog show, in aid of North-East Greyhound and Lurcher Rescue. Entries will be taken on the day from noon and judging will start at 1pm.
FUN RUN: A fun run, over a two or four-mile course, in aid of Cancer Research UK and Ingleby Barwick's primary schools will start from Bannatyne's Health Club, Ingleby Barwick, on Sunday, June 8, at 11am. The run will be followed by a family fun day at the health club, featuring activities organised by Middlesbrough Football Club's community programme. PLAY DATE: Year four pupils at Yarm Preparatory School will stage a production of James and the Giant Peach in the senior school theatre on Wednesday, June 4, at 7pm. The school's social committee will hold a summer fair on Saturday, June 7.
SUMMER FAIR: St Therese of Lisieux School's summer fair will take place on Sunday, June 15, from 2pm to 5pm. Admission is 20p for adults and free for children.
