YOUNGSTERS will put their best feet forward to raise money for a children's charity next month.
Throughout June, toddlers from across the country will take part in the Foresters Big Toddle, in aid of Barnardo's.
Now in its seventh year, the event aims to raise more than £700,000 for the charity's work with disadvantaged children under five and their communities.
Among those taking part will be children from Wingate and Station Town Family Centre's Play and Learn Together group.
Accompanied by friends, parents and carers, they will complete a half-mile course at the family centre on Tuesday, June 10, from 10am.
The event will include fancy dress, face painting, balloon modelling and refreshments.
A spokeswoman said: "The toddle is about children helping other children.
"It is fantastic to know that our children can help Barnardo's just by taking part in the toddle. We would encourage everyone to get involved."
Denise Naldrett, regional manager of Foresters, said: "Foresters Big Toddle is a fantastic event. It's great fun and the principle of children helping children who are less fortunate is a valuable message."
Last year, more than 2,000 toddler groups raised in excess of £650,000 for Barnardo's.
