FIVE homes in Stanley were targeted over the Bank Holiday weekend as yobs smashed windows.
On Saturday, vandals lobbed a golf ball through a bedroom window at a house in Earl Street at around 7.50pm.
Earlier the same day, at 3.45pm, two males and a girl were seen with iron bars, smashing windows in Charlotte Street.
Three more attacks took place on Monday.
A homeowner reported windows broken and paint splashed on her brickwork at a house in Burns Close.
A kitchen window was smashed in Frosterley Gardens and a brick was thrown through another kitchen window in Percy Avenue at around 4.25am.
Police are appealing for witnesses of any of the incidents. Anyone with information should contact Stanley Police on (01207) 232144.
