A VILLAGE postmistress who died of cancer three weeks ago has inspired a group of women to raise money for charity.
Seventeen women and a girl from Eppleby will take part in this year's Race for Life in Darlington's South Park in memory of Pam Chapman, who died aged 66 on May 4.
The team, including Emily Redican-Bradford, eight, is hoping to raise hundreds of pounds for Cancer Research UK.
Mrs Chapman's daughter-in-law Belinda, said: "The team is just made up of friends that have come into the shop and seen that we are doing it. Hopefully we'll get even more on the team."
To take part in the race, on July 13, call 08705 134 314.
