PLANS for this summer's playscheme in Hartlepool have been unveiled.
The scheme, which is aimed at children aged five to 11, starts on Monday, July 28, and runs until Friday, August 22.
This year there will be four venues - Bridge Youth Centre, Greatham Community Centre, Rossmere Youth Centre and the Abbey Street Project on the Headland.
Parents must apply by post to register their children. Application forms are available from the Civic Centre, libraries, neighbourhood offices, Hartlepool Art Gallery and Information Centre, community centres, youth centres, schools and Greatham post office.
The forms must be returned between Monday, June 16, and Saturday, June 28. Parents will be advised of their child's allocated days the week commencing Monday, July 7.
Tracy Liveras, Hartlepool Borough Council's young people and play co-ordinator, said: "There will be trips to places like York, Witton Castle, Preston Park, Danby Moor Centre and Nature's World while locally there will be things like art and craft, circus skills, trips to the park and sports activities."
