TELEVISION weatherman Bob Johnson will launch Teesside's air ambulance service on Monday.
The helicopter will be at the University Hospital of North Tees, one of three hospitals in the North-East that are able to receive patients by air.
Children from the hospital nursery will be given the chance to meet the paramedics on board the helicopter.
