YOUNG film-makers will be showcasing their talents at an event in Hartlepool today.
A Hartlepool Children's Fund video will be launched at a fun day, to be held in the Historic Quay from 10am.
The 15-minute film is the result of four months' work by children aged five to 13.
It has been produced with the help of film expert Bob Maughan, from Owton Fens Community Association, and aims to highlight the benefits of being involved in Hartlepool Children's Fund.
The Children's Fund is a national initiative to support vulnerable children aged five to 13 by tackling social exclusion.
Hartlepool Children's Fund is aimed at children in the Dyke House, Owton Manor, Stranton and St Hilda wards, and has worked with more than 250 children from 150 families.
A range of services has been provided, including after-school clubs, mentoring sessions and family support.
The initiative is managed through a partnership which is chaired by Hartlepool Borough Council's director of community services, Janet Barker.
It includes representatives from social services, the education service, Hartlepool Primary Care Trust and Hartlepool Voluntary Development Agency.
John Robinson, the manager of Hartlepool Children's Fund, said: "This will be our second funday and we hope more than 100 Children's Fund Club members and their families will be present."
