Crook League: Crook Belle Vue's lead at the top was cut to three points after they went down to their second defeat of the season in the decider at Crook Queen's Head A, whilst Crook Royal Sun were whitewashing their hosts at Crook Mill House.
This big win for the Sun put them seven points clear of the equal third placed teams from Willington Market, Crook Olde Horse Shoe B and Crook Mill House.
The Queen's A had singles wins from Tommy Longstaff, Phil Hall and John Howarth, whilst Belle Vue Club levelled with wins from Ivor Phillipson, Jack Walker and Dave Hakin. In the deciding doubles Crook Queen's went to victory when Heidi Moses and Tommy Longstaff beat John Warriner and Roy Hoggarth.
The position in the Second Division is much tighter after third placed, Crook King's Head beat the visiting second placed, Hunwick Club by three points. Willington Brewer's Droop moved on to lead the division by two points with Hunwick now just one ahead of the King's Head.
Robert Todd was the only singles winner for Hunwick on their trip to the King's Head with the only other point for the visitors coming when David Thompson and Geoff Moore won the doubles. The singles winners for the King's were Andrew Palmer, David Brown, Steph Gill, Kevin Carter and Stephen Dawson.

Tow Law and District League
Tow Law Dan's Castle B shot to the top of the table after they whitewashed their A team with wins from David Murray, Paul Murray, Anthony Lee, Angela Suddes and Kelly Armstrong. This victory moved them one ahead of Tow Law New Market A, Tow Law Station and Tow Law Football Club, who are sharing second place.
The New Market A were stretched at home before edging through by the odd point against Hamilton Row Black Horse in the decider. Barry Sims put the Horse ahead only to see Dale Duxfield and Terry Taylor take the next two for the Market. However John Christalow equalised, but the Market went to victory when Phil Spencer bet Steve Wilkie in the decider.

Willington Area League
Les Welsh of Sunnybrow Brown Trout became the League Singles Champion after he beat Phil Blyth of Willington Brewer's Droop in the final. The League will hold their Presentation Evening on Monday, June 30, at 7.30pm in Willington Club.
