ORGANISERS of this year's Great Aycliffe Show are appealing for entries for the popular craft competition.
Highlights of this year's event, which takes place on June 21 and 22, include motorbike stunts, aeroplane acrobatics, pedigree rabbit and cavy shows, and football and badminton competitions.
One of the most popular and long-standing competitions at the show is the handcraft exhibition.
Show organiser Marie Robinson said the quality of work exhibited gets better each year.
She said: "Exhibits come from all ages and once people pluck up the courage to enter their work, they tend to keep on entering year after year."
This year, there are classes for cooking, knitting, wine and beer making, photography, embroidery, quilting, art, woodwork and children's classes.
Entry is free and there are small prizes and a trophy for the winner of each section.
Application forms are available from Marie Robinson on (01325) 300700.
