Police are seeking the driver of a Vauxhall Cavalier which mounted a pavement, struck a pedestrian and then drove off.
After the accident, in Bridge Street, Blyth, Northumberland, the car was abandoned behind the nearby Steam Boat pub. The victim, a 19-year-old local woman, suffered serious leg and arm injuries, in the incident, at 11.50pm on Saturday.
