Division One side Beehive won a specially-arranged friendly tournament involving three clubs from two different leagues last week.
The competition, organised by Darlington League side Bishop Auckland Cricket Club, also involved fellow Darlington League teams Bishop Derby and Newton Cap Hotel as well as Spennymoor League sides Beehive, Two Blues and Green Tree.
Newton Cap and Beehive won their individual groups, with the Spennymoor League side Beehive coming out on top.
Manager Michael Hill said: "It was great to have teams from two different leagues coming together on the day and showing great co-operation. It was a pleasure to take part in such a well-organised competition and our thanks go to Ian Corner, who did a lot of hard work to make the day a successful one.
"Special thanks must go to the referees Billy James and Ken Bowser. All the games were played in exactly the right spirit of friendship and sportsmanship. To win the competition without conceding a goal was a great way to end a good season for us - I hope it can become an annual event from now on as I'm sure all six teams who took part enjoyed the day."
Group A: Cricket Club 2, Newton Cap 3; Newton Cap 0, Two blues 0; Cricket club 2, Two blues 0.
Group B: Derby 0, Beehive 0; Green Tree 1, Derby 1; Green Tree 0, Beehive 2.
Final: Newton Cap 0, Beehive 2.
Meanwhile, the league's end-of-season presentation night will be held at Old Shildon WMC on Friday, June 6, when local band Buster will form part of the night's entertainment as well as all the usual awards and presentations.
The clubs receiving honours will be: Newton Aycliffe (First Division League title), Postchaise (Second Division league title), Old Shildon (Division One Cup, B&A Trophy and League Cup winners) and Brawns Den (Division Two Cup and Invitation Cup winners).
All runners-up trophies as well as top goalscorers and player of the seasons for both divisions will also be dished out on the night.
* The league's AGM will now be held on Wednesday, June 11 at Spennymoor United's Brewery Field clubhouse, 8pm, and not June 4 as previously advised.
