The Darlington BT AA Lartington Charity Match staged between Lane Fox and Willowgarth Ponds, Willowgarth delivered the biggest net but for consistency Lane Fox out-performed Willowgarth with five out of the top six all coming from there.
The winner Quaker Tackle's Steve Chantry caught all bream for 25.7.0
Electing to fish the feeder from peg 22, Steve found a combination of maggot and worm advantageous picking up 18 samples in all.
While over on Lane Fox second place Darlington's Derek Waterson also relied entirely on bream but in contrast tempted all his fish on the pole and pellet for 17.10.0 off peg 10.

Silver fish fed enthusiastically during the sixth and final round of the York Tackle Spring Series held at Poole Bridge Farm Wheldrake and there were some good nets.
Steve Brand of Team Thompson took individual honours on the day recording 29.11.0 but overall slipped into 2nd position beaten by Malton and Norton's Dougie Featherstone 15 pts to his 16.
Steve on the old pond used the 11 metre pole and chopped worm to locate three chub averaging 3.0.0 apiece backed by a steady supply of skimmers - some up to the 1.0.0 mark. Following close behind came teamate Karl Midhage whose runner up weight of 27.13.0 consisted of all roach falling to caster off peg ten.

At the Woodland Lakes it was non-stop action during the midweeker for Diawa Goldthorpe rod Daryl Taylor who bagged a tremendous net of 73.15.0. Daryl drawing peg seven on Partridge Lake stuck to paste all match and built up a blistering pace on the pole at 12 metres. Small carp made up most of his net with the exception of a few odd tench on his way to success. Meanwhile on Kestrel Lake, Map Elton rival Mark Coyne enjoyed some fantastic silver fish sport hauling out 53.2.0 off peg 19.
Fishing at seven metres a mixture of tench skimmers ide rudd and roach all responded to worm boosted only by a couple of carp best 6.0.0.

Thursday's slot at the Oaks Sessay ended with just 2ozs separating two super carp bags, yet the outcome could have been very different but for a colossal mirror carp of 11-7-0 landed by Map Elton's Paul Taylor.
Pulling out peg 21, Paul of Map Elton presented cat food on the pole at both 11 and 13 metres adding the whopper to an otherwise all small carp catch to record 56.11.0 and snatch victory from renowned carp ciruiteer Dean Smith. Dean drawing peg 59 could only locate carp up to the 2.0.0 mark and worked extremely hard to put 56.9.0 onto the scales when he alternated pellet and meat on the pole at 13 metres.

Grassholme Reservoir: Good sessions for fly anglers with F Hutton of Ashington grassing a super brownie of 5.0.0. This fish was part of an eight fish bag of 28.0.0 all taken on fly. K Stones of West Auckland landed the biggest rainbow of 7.8.0 from the area around the boat ramp on the South Shore. 258 rods 753 trout - 30 limit bags. Best fish at Fontburn fell to maggot, an impressive rainbow of 12.0.0 taken by Cramlington's John Walton. 363 rods 906 trout. Bait anglers doing best but some fish falling to black or orange fritz, Dawson's olive, bibio and Hawthorne.
Derwent - 366 anglers 1125 trout: B Armstrong of Rowlands Gill grassed the heaviest fish of the week a rainbow of 8.8.0. Hotspots include the Dam Wall and the North Shore. Dawson's olive, cat's whisker, and black goldhead fritz, all fished on an intermediate line, most popular patterns.
The Hardy Grey / Northumbria Water Fly Competition was won in fine style by Consett's Ian Lamb with a 10 fish limit bag off the Dam Wall despite strong winds. 33 competitors caught 119 trout.
During a windy week exceptional sport at Blackton. 16 limit bags - best rainbow 6.0.0 grassed by M Gowland and top brown trout 5.0.0 for C Bates. 112 visitors landed 361 fish. Popular flies Kate McLaren, claret bumble and bibio. Floating lines are now coming into their own. Fish in all areas.
Scaling Dam - 131 rods 417 rainbows. 17 limit bags: Percy Jones of Middlesbrough returned the best rainbow a 6 pounder on legered worm and powerbait cocktail at the West End of the Dam Wall. Bait anglers outscoring the fly due to very windy conditions. Keilder: 162 anglers 460 trout. Rainbows to 5.8.0 and brownies to 2.0.0. Tunstall: Rod average 4.5. Heaviest fish went to Colin Bradley of Consett 3.10.0. Largest bag of the week totalled 75 fish taken by Martin Watson from a boat. Cat's whisker, orange monster and Kate McLaren taking majority of fish.
