A CHARITY is calling for volunteer speakers in the North-East to support its work.
As part of National Volunteer Week, the Children's Society needs people in the region to raise funds and the profile of the charity.
It is hoping to find people to give talks about its work with marginalised children and young people.
Bridget Spencer, senior community fundraising manager, said: "We are asking for people to support us by committing to give one talk a month about our work to their local community.
"In return, we can give you training and support. Volunteering is a marvellous way to make new friends, as well as raise essential funds for charity."
Anyone interested in becoming a volunteer speaker is asked to call 0845 300 1128.
