THE following cases were dealt with at South Durham Magistrates' Court, in Darlington, yesterday.
CASE ADJOURNED: Maurice Binks, 78, of West End, Witton-le-Wear, was charged with driving without due care and attention. The case was adjourned until June 30 for reports.
PARKING CHARGE: Kevin Robinson, of Pine Lea, Brandon, Bishop Auckland, admitted parking in a no waiting area using his disabled badge. He was given an absolute discharge and ordered to pay £35 court costs.
DRIVER FINED: Justin Ernest Warren, 29, of Heather Close, Chorley, Lancashire, admitted speeding on the A1 and was fined £75, and had four penalty points endorsed on his licence.
OFFENCES ADMITTED: David John Parkin, 18, of Montrose Street, Darlington, admitted driving without insurance or a test certificate. He was fined £60, ordered to pay £35 costs and given six penalty points on his driving licence.
CHARGE DENIED: Lawrence Richardson, 60, of Oakham Drive, Carrville, Durham, denied parking in a taxi rank. The case was adjourned for a pre-trial review on July 2.
GUILTY PLEAS: Jane Marie Bailes, 44, of Stead Close, Newton Aycliffe, admitted driving without due care and attention, failing to stop following an accident and failing to report an accident. She pleaded guilty to all the charges. The case was adjourned until June 16.
