A CHILD was robbed of his piggy bank containing £13 in small change in Hartlepool at the weekend.
The 11-year-old was with a friend outside Barclays Bank, in York Road, when two older boys on mountain bikes approached him.
One of the boys held the victim, while the other grabbed his red money box.
The youth who stole the money was 5ft 3in, aged about 15, with mousey brown hair. He had a possible burn or scar on his right cheek. He wore a green camouflage T-shirt and rode a red mountain bike.
The second boy was of a similar age and height, with brown hair stuck up at front.
He had a long nose and weathered complexion. He was wearing a light blue Adidas hooded top and had a purple mountain bike.
Anyone who witnessed the incident, which took place at about 12.30pm on Saturday, is asked to call (01642) 392126.
