A SUCCESSFUL e-business in north-west Durham is giving tips on the growing industry to pupils.
Youngsters from St John's RC Comprehensive, in Bishop Auckland, visited Holiday CD, based in the E-Business Centre in Consett.
The company puts holiday brochures on to compact discs, which are sent to more than 6,000 tour operators and travel agents worldwide.
Staff showed the pupils how theories on Internet business are put into practice.
Information technology teacher Chris Allan said: "Getting the students to visit a successful e-commerce business has been a great help in providing information for their ICT in business assignments."
Alan Crampton, a partner at Holiday CD, said: "We were only too pleased to help when we were approached and were happy to share our experiences with the students.
"I hope it has given them an insight into how e-commerce has changed the world of business and provided the information they need to complete their ICT assignments."
