Newcastle Falcons rugby club is receiving an electrical surge of sponsorship for next season.
LG Electronics UK and Northern Electric have teamed up as joint associate sponsors of the Kingston Park club. The two-year sponsorship deal kicks off from the start of the season in August and includes branding of the Falcons stadium, training kits and ball boy outfits.
LG Electronics has already provided 42 wide screen televisions in the club's new corporate hospitality facilities along with three plasma screens in the club bar.
YH Kim, operations director at LG, said: "The partnership with Northern Electric, along with the continuing success of our Washington factory, illustrates our commitment in the North of the UK."
John Parkinson, chief executive of the Newcastle Falcons, said: "The support we have received from LG and Northern Electric is fantastic news for the club.
"We have already forged strong partnerships with many leading North-East companies, all of which recognise the value of the sport and the future commitment the Newcastle Falcons have made to rugby."
