A NORTH-East diva is gearing up for one of the most sparkling performances of her career.
Suzannah Clarke, who has been asked to sing at next week's England versus Slovakia match at the Riverside, has had her teeth whitened for the occasion.
With the match being screened live round the world, the Middlesbrough-born singer wanted her beaming smile to look its best as she performed on home turf.
So, after selecting the perfect red dress for the occasion, she popped along to Middlesbrough town centre's exclusive clothes shop Psyche for some in-store dentistry.
One of the few stores in the country to offer a dental service, Psyche's resident dentist bleached Suzannah's teeth in under an hour.
"For the first time in my life my teeth are now radiant," said Suzannah. "I'll be on television at the match and I just thought it would be nice to have sparkling teeth to go with my red dress.
"Having your teeth bleached in a town centre store is so much more pleasant than going to a dentist's surgery.
"I can't recommend it highly enough."
Suzannah, who is also an ambassador for Teesside, will sing the British national anthem and has been practising the Slovakian anthem for next Wednesday's match.
