THIEVES who took two large caravans from a North-East holiday park used specialised equipment, say police.
The caravans were taken from the Hetherick Grange site, at Eggleston, near Barnard Castle, County Durham, after burning equipment was used to remove security devices.
One of the caravans was a white Elddis Firestorm, registration K176KRA. The other was a Swift Challenger 5-50, with the number NXO3UOR.
A spokesman for Durham Police said: "The thieves clearly knew what they were doing as they had burning equipment and were able to quickly tow the caravans away without being seen."
