AN activity and information day for the over-50s is being held in Darlington tomorrow (Friday).
Darlington, Active, Independent, Staying Young (Daisy) will give people the chance to get involved in new activities, try their hand at new skills and get advice on a wide range of issues.
Daisy organisers have planned a number of free events throughout the summer including taster sessions in jewellery making, information technology, keep fit, quiz nights and pension and housing advice sessions.
The activities will be held at sheltered housing schemes and are open to everyone over 50 in the town.
The highlight of the campaign will be Daisy day tomorrow in the market square from noon until 4pm.
There will be people on hand to give out advice on subjects including health and education as well as a variety of live entertainment.
