A TEENAGER's design has been chosen to publicise a show later this month.
Judging the competition to design a poster for the Great Aycliffe Show proved difficult because of the number and quality of entries was high.
The Mayor and Mayoress of Great Aycliffe, Councillor Malcolm Iveson and Councillor Sarah Iveson finally chose a design by Charlotte Drew.
The 13-year-old's entry was submitted by her school, Woodham Technology College, in Newton Aycliffe.
Her winning entry is being framed and will be presented to her during the show.
Highlights of this year's event, which takes place on fields at the Oak Leaf Sports Complex on the weekend of June 21 and 22, include motorbike stunts, aeroplane acrobatics, a pedigree rabbit show, and football and badminton competitions.
Organisers are still asking for entries for the handicraft exhibition. Details are available from Great Aycliffe Town Council on (01325) 300700.
