PEOPLE are being urged to put their best foot forward to support a North-East children's charity.
The Children's Foundation Yellow Brick Road Appeal will hold its annual sponsored walk on Sunday, June 22, at the Washington Wildfowl and Wetlands Centre.
Walkers will have a day of fun and entertainment while raising money to improve the health of children in the North-East and Cumbria.
The walk offers a distance for all the family - an 800 metre toddle, a 2.5 kilometre stroll, eight kilometre riverside route and 12 kilometre challenge that finishes at Penshaw Monument.
Refreshments will be served after the walks and there will be plenty of entertainment on hand for the children.
Pre-registration for the walk is essential. For more information, an entry pack and a sponsorship form telephone (0191) 202 3006 or visit www.thechildrensfoundation.co.uk
