A chapel will re-open to visitors from Sunday.
The Grade I-listed chapel at the Sir William Turner Almshouses, at Kirkleatham, near Redcar, will be open to visitors until the end of the summer school holidays.
It was built in 1676 and has not been changed since it was remodelled in 1740 to a design by James Gibb.
It still contains the mahogany and oak pews where the women and schoolgirls sat on the left and the men and boys on the right.
Many of the contents were bought second-hand when a house in London was closed in 1738 and have been restored to their original condition.
The painted glass window is famed for its fine detail and brilliant colours.
The chapel will be open every Sunday afternoon, from 2pm to 4pm.
