A WOMAN has thanked her former employer for buying her equipment to help her cope with her illness.
Michelle Malcolm had to leave her job as a supervisor at Boyes store, in Newton Aycliffe, three years ago after she developed multiple sclerosis.
Mrs Malcolm had worked at the store since it opened in 1993. When she left, managing director Timothy Boyes said if there was anything she needed the company would buy it for her.
True to his word, Boyes has paid for a standing frame.
Mrs Malcolm said: "I was overwhelmed to tell you the truth.
"I spoke to Mr Boyes when I was at the store for the tenth anniversary of the opening and I thanked him because it was a nice gesture."
