A GROUP of teenagers are getting ready for the trip of a lifetime next month.
Five girls from Teesside High School, Eaglescliffe, will represent their school in a netball and hockey tour of Singapore, Australia and Fiji.
The girls, Ruth Craig, Fiona Lofthouse and Sara Johnson, all 15, and Jennifer Sanderson and Rachel Sowerby, both 16, will leave on Sunday July 13, following their GCSE exams, and will arrive in Singapore the next day.
Erica Malkin, from the school, said: "Needless to say, the girls are very excited about the tour, and it is a great opportunity for them.
"By the time they come home, they will have been right around the world."
She added: "The school is delighted to be involved in sports on an international level like this."
