A VETERAN car retailer has vowed not to miss an important business convention today despite a horrific attack on him earlier this week.
Mike Massingberd has said "the show must go on" and will attend the Yorkshire International Business Convention, in Harrogate, North Yorkshire, that his 40-year-old motoring group is supporting.
Three days ago, as reported in The Northern Echo, the businessman was attacked by a masked man at his home in Aldborough, near Boroughbridge.
The intruder hit Mr Massingberd on the head with a wooden mallet after he was unable to get his car keys from him.
Mr Massingberd said that today's convention was an important event for his company.
"The show must go on, so must my company, and so must I," he said.
