MEN are being encouraged to have a health MoT as part of an annual awareness campaign.
Staff at the University Hospital of Hartlepool are urging men to have a health check as part of National Men's Health Week, which starts on Monday.
Nursing staff from the male surgical ward will carry out free blood pressure checks from 1pm to 4pm, Monday to Friday.
They will also be giving out dietary and lifestyle advice to help men stave off potential problems in the future.
As part of the week-long awareness drive, hospital staff will be offering advice and information on a range of sexual health conditions.
Leaflets and fact sheets will be available to help men discover how to prevent or spot symptoms of ailments such as sexually transmitted infections, sexual dysfunction, prostate and testicular cancer, and infertility.
