LADYKILLER Martin Kemp is about to live up to his television reputation in a chilling true-life period piece.
The one-time EastEnder has been in North Yorkshire shooting scenes for a forthcoming thriller for ITV, The Brides in the Bath.
At Nunnington Hall, near Helmsley, that meant getting togged up in an Edwardian swimming costume for a dip in the River Rye with actress Charlotte Randall.
The former Spandau Ballet frontman is playing the role of George Joseph Smith, a serial killer who married wealthy women and then killed them in the days before the First World War.
Earlier this week, the crew shot scenes in Tadcaster and further scenes will be filmed on the Yorkshire coast.
Executive producer David Reynolds said: "Martin's had an acting history of killing his leading ladies and in The Brides In The Bath, he'll kill several."
The Brides in the Bath is one of four single dramas commissioned by ITV1 from Yorkshire Television, to be filmed during the summer.
