A GROUP of Darlington students are heading to Hungary to run a summer holiday camp.
Elm Ridge Methodist Church, in Darlington, has arranged for students from Queen Elizabeth Sixth Form College and Darlington College of Technology to travel to Nyiregyhaza.
A summer holiday club for primary school children has been organised by lay worker Brigitta Ilyes, originally from Hungary. Its aim is to teach English through a variety of creative ways involving music, storytelling, sport and crafts.
Andrew and Helen Clarke, Rebecca Atkinson, Samuel Atkins, Lynsey Britton, Steve Dunn and Ms Ilyes will be leading the club. Elm Ridge runs a holiday club for local children in the summer, and the idea originated from there.
The club will work closely with a primary school and church in Nyiregyhaza.
