GRADUATES interested in working in a green environment are being offered the chance of summer work and possibly a full-time job.
Redcar and Cleveland Borough Council has places in its countryside section for three recent graduates or students of environmental or natural science-related courses.
"This is an ideal way to support your training with practical hands-on experience, which is so important when trying to get employment in the environmental sector," said countryside officer Briony Serginson.
The placements will be at one of the borough's three sites - Flatts Lane, in Normanby, near Middlesbrough, Guisborough or Saltburn Valley Gardens - and will run from early next month to mid-September.
Successful applicants will gain experience of habitat management, environmental education work, planning and running visitor events and visitor centre management.
For an informal discussion about the placements, or for an application form, call Ms Serginson on (01642) 444239.
