ANNUAL MEETING: Washington's University of the Third Age will hold its annual meeting at 10am on Tuesday, at the Washington Millennium Centre.
HOLY MUSIC: Holy Trinity Church, Washington Village, will hold a sponsored hymn singing session at 1.30pm on Saturday, June 14. There will also be book and plants with refreshments available.
FAIR DATE: An arts and crafts fair will be held from 10am today at Biddick Arts Centre.
NEW BOSS: John Dodd has taken over from Anthony Clegg as manager of the Sainsbury's Supermarket in the Galleries.
SPONSORED SWIM: Dawn Harding, Julie Kay, Mandy Liddle, Jessica Vardy, Janet Wilkinson and Kriss Wilson, who all work at the Albany House Residential Home, Washington, took part in a sponsored swim which covered a total of 272 lengths of the Washington Pool and raised £250 for the residents' amenities fund.
