CAT lovers are in for a treat this week with an international championship being brought to Northallerton.
The Millennium Cat Club is staging the event at the town's Hambleton Forum on Sunday.
Cats on show will be pedigree and household pets, and unusual breeds will include the hairless sphynx, the ocicat and Scottish fold.
The show will be open to the public from 10am to 4.30pm, and judges come from France, the Netherlands and Great Britain.
People are invited to watch the judging take place, culminating in the best in show award.
Admission is £2, with concessions available.
The show is being held by the Feline International Federation.
