King of the Carp scene Tek Neek Trabucco Elton's Dean Smith had what can only be described as a remarkable four days on the match circuit recording three wins and a second place.
Kicking off at the Woodland Lakes on Wednesday spectacular sport made their regular slot one of the best matches ever on the complex.
Carp literally went berserk and backing weights were incredible for the 72 rods split between Partridge Skylark Curlew and Wagtail Lakes.
For Dean, however, he not only emerged winner on the day recording a staggering 117.11.0, making it the third best match weight, but Dean also holds first and second bests of 128lbs and 124lbs.
Pulling out peg 36 on Partridge, Dean fished up in the water on pole and luncheon meat at 13 metres working non-stop on his way to the historic triple taking all small carp - nothing larger than 3.0.0.
Such was the sheer quality of nets that 63.0.0 was needed for a section win and Andy Geldart of Diawa Goldthorpe just made it into runner up spot even though he weighed in a massive haul of 95.14.0. The same approach pole and meat paid off from Partridge 25 as Andy located carp and tench.
Other backing weights: S Wood (Leeds Police) 92.3.0; A Scotthorne (Shimano Mustad) 79.6.0; G Twohey (EJ Tackle) 73.10.0; M Webb (Armley Angling) 73.6.0.
Then on the back of Wednesday's major success at the Woodlands, Dean stole the show at the Oaks Sessay on Thursday recording 63.4.0 off Maple Lake as the rest were queuing up for next best in the tightest of contests.
Dean on peg 34 weighed in all carp, his best a common of 4.0.0 as pellet and pole at 13 metres ruled.
A similar approach resulted in a big bonus mirror carp of 10.0.0 enough to give Map Elton's Mark Coyne the edge at the scales boosting his carp net to 49.12.0 off peg 53.
Best of the rest: A Mitchell (Oaks) 49.9.0; S Medd (Billingham Tackle Box) 49.4.0; P Taylor (Map Elton) 48.8.0 & B Poole (Map Elton) 48.1.0.
In the eagerly awaited Woodland Lakes Clubman Final held on Friday, fishery owner Robin Fletcher put up £2,000 in prize money including a cool £1,000 for the winner.
Expectations were running high as competitors anticipated some big bags following the midweek bonanza when Skylark and Partridge Lakes delivered 'big style.'
Dave Walker of APV pulled out Skylark 34, a corner peg and went all out for carp and wasn't disappointed bagging a cracking 103.8.0. Opting for meat at 13 metres to the boards he poled his way to the coveted first prize.
On the same lake Isaac Walton's Gaz Thompson on peg 27 also found meat most productive but this time at eight metres picking up some better carp to 6.0.0 for 71.13.0.
In Mediterranean like conditions the prolific Woodland Lakes continued to produce excellent nets for the capacity entry on Saturday.
In a twist of fate Saturday's result proved a reversal of Wednesday's when Diawa Goldthorpe's Andy Geldart toppled Dean Smith who pulled out the fancied peg on the day. Andy on Skylark 4 used the tried and tested up in the water on the long pole and meat to establish contact with the fish and collected a netful of small carp for 87.13.0.
Over on Partridge Lake Dean stuck to meat throughout and caught mainly carp off corner peg one for 77.10.0 from Dave Pimlott Drennan Elton on 69.3.0.
The talented Dean Smith soon returned to form on Sunday at the Oaks and concluded his brilliant run, monopolising the scoresheet yet again.
Pole and pellet into the corner off Maple's peg 63a kept lots of carp interested as Dean weighed in 49.8.0 holding off Map Elton's John McGarrell on peg 56 and Oaks Chris Hall on peg 65 who both bagged 46.4.0 of small carp on the pellet.
