Billingham swimmers competed at the Open Meet at the Neptune Centre, Middlesbrough at the weekend and the swimming was of a very high standard.
Billingham achieved a silver, fourth and eight position place and out of 40 swims 34 personal bests were achieved.
Eleven-year-old Glen Martin in the 400m free not only achieved silver but also a national time, in the 200m free he came fourth. Anthony Brown also 11 swam all PBs in the 100m free and back and 200m free.
Fifteen-year-old Jane Usher gained eighth place in the 100m back with a PB. In the 100m free her other swims were 400m free, 200m free and breast. Emma Wilson also 15 gained PBs in all her swims 100m fly, back and free and 200m IM and free.
Twelve-year-olds Jessica Trewin, Charlotte Brown and Pippa Shepherd accomplished all PBs in the 100m free, 100m breast and 200m free, Pippa also in the 100m back.
Thirteen-year-old Lisa Sheehan with all PBs swam 200m free and breast and 100m free. Joanne Longster with PBs in the 200m free, back and 100m free, also swam 100m back. Stephen Cook with PBs in the 200m breast and free also swam 100m breast.
Fourteen-year-old Emma Shepherd swam 200m and 100m free with PBs
Sixteen-year-old Matthew Sheehan swam 100m back and free and 200m free, all with PBs.
