A RADIO DJ made good a promise to host his show live from the top of a North-East landmark yesterday.
BBC Radio Cleveland's John Foster spent the afternoon 850ft above the River Tees on the Transporter Bridge to raise money for charity.
He agreed to the challenge last week after being dared by fellow presenter Matthew Davies and listeners to his weekday show.
Middlesbrough-born John said: " I do not get the chance to climb the Transporter Bridge every day, and when dared to do it, I jumped at the chance.
"Having climbed the Sydney Harbour Bridge, this has been a doddle. Well, kind of.
"Hopefully my live broadcast will have raised lots of cash for a worthy cause, BBC Children in Need."
