THE Forestry Commission is celebrating midsummer by staging two walks.
Breathtaking scenery is on offer during a three-hour walk through Hepburn Wood, near Chillingham, Northumberland on Sunday.
Rangers will lead walkers to the top of Ros Hill, offering spectacular views of a landscape dotted with seven castles.
On the way, the route goes past the site of a 4,000-year-old hill fort.
On Sunday, June 29, there is a chance to tour Thrunton Wood, near Rothbury, Northumberland. Walkers will also be led to the summit of Castle Hill.
To take part in the walks, call (01207) 542231.
