A CRASH test dummy device pioneered in the North-East is to be filmed as part of a road safety promotional video.
Two years ago, David Milford, Middlesbrough Council's road safety manager, devised a model car that showed the impact of a crash on passengers not wearing seat belts.
The model proved popular with schools and a Darlington manufacturing company, Forge House Group, started producing it commercially.
After selling more than 40 cars to agencies from Cornwall to Belfast, Forge House is filming a promotional video.
Ron Harker, of Forge House, said: "It shows very graphically what happens when car passengers who are not wearing seat belts are involved in accidents."
The device consists of a model car containing dummies that is catapulted down a ramp.
