Auckland and District EBAC Youth League
The Auckland and District EBAC Youth League has vowed to carry on after surviving a mid-season crisis when three clubs resigned to leave the under-18 competition with only six clubs still in membership.
Chilton YC, Ferryhill and Meadowfield quit during the season, mainly due to lack of players and officials.
The six remaining clubs have decided to carry on and they are hoping new members will join at the league's annual meeting at Spennymoor on Monday.
For the second successive season, the league has decided not to name a winner for the Oughton Carriers Good Conduct Award because of the poor disciplinary record of all the clubs. The total fines imposed by the Durham FA amounts to £1,324, an average of £147 per club. Spennymoor Legion had the best disciplinary record with two dismissals and two cautions.
Administrative fines are down from £55 to £45. Three clubs, Bishop Auckland, Coundon & Leeholme and Willington, had a clear record with no administrative fines imposed.
Three teams shared the honours. Bishop Auckland are league champions and also won the Lady Eden Hospital Cup for the first time in their history.
Willington won the South West Durham Presidents Cup and were runners-up in the league, league cup and Lady Eden Cup. Coundon & Leeholme won the league cup and were runners-up in the Presidents Cup.
