The annual Border Bike Ride, around Darlington and surrounding villages, which was cancelled because of poor weather on Sunday, has been rearranged for Sunday, September 14.
The event will offer cyclists two routes covering distances of 25 miles and 50 miles.
A spokesman for Darlington Borough Council said: "There was a lot of surface water on some of the minor roads so we had to err on the side of caution.
"But a lot of people were riding for charity so we will be giving them a chance to complete the ride and raise the money."
