A HEAD TEACHER and 11 teenage pupils were given an extra treat when they went to see The Blues Brothers at Darlington Civic Theatre.
Before the curtain went up on the show, the stars of the hit musical, Brad Henshaw and Mark Lawson, welcomed head teacher Dame Dela Smith and her pupils from Beaumont Hill School and Technology College.
The stars were delighted to see that the group had come prepared and were wearing dark glasses to join in with the spirit of the show.
The boys were given an extra special welcome because they are featuring the show in their school theatre project.
The boys and their head teacher joined the singing and dancing on stage at the Civic during the performance.
School spokesman John O'Neill said it had been an enjoyable evening for all.
