A TEESSIDE school choir has been invited to take part in one of Europe's biggest music festivals of its kind.
Ingelby Mill Choir, which was formed seven years ago when the school was built, is to play in the national Festival of Music for Youth 2003.
The school has a large and enthusiastic choir of 100 seven to 11-year-olds, and this is the second time they have been asked to take part.
This year, the choir will be singing tunes composed by their teacher, Liz Shaller, which are part of a musical called A Day in Two Lives, which was inspired by her five-week visit to northern Ghana.
The Royal Festival Hall, in London, will play host to the festival.
Full symphony orchestras, choirs, brass, wind, jazz and rock banks will all be featured in the event, from July 7 to 12.
Ingelby Mill could be among 30 groups which could impress judges enough to be invited back to play at the Music for Youth School Proms at the Royal Albert Hall in November.
