THE long-gone world of the 1950s is being brought back to life by experts and laymen alike.
The Royal Pump Room Museum, in Harrogate, North Yorkshire, is hosting an exhibition of life as it was half-a-century ago.
Alongside the exhibition, it is running a number of events and activities, including talks and demonstrations of items from the period.
Barbara Blakeson, the museum's curator of social history, is visiting venues throughout the district with exhibits from the show.
And people who were teenagers or adults in the 1950s are being invited to share their memories of those years, so that they can be preserved for posterity, at drop-in sessions in the museum.
The next sessions will be on July 26 and 30, when those who come to share their memories will be admitted for free as long as they live in the Harrogate district.
