Chester-le-Street Theatre Group is appealing for Victorian shoes and boots to use in their production of the comedy Hobson's Choice.
The play centres around boot and shoe maker Horatio Hobson and his shop.
To give the show an authentic touch, the group is hoping to find Victorian footwear to wear in the play or use to stock the shoe shop.
Bill Stephenson, of the group, said: "The first scene is a boot shop, so we need shelves full of boots, clogs or shoe boxes. We've tried hiring them, but there's not many places have them."
The show runs from next Tuesday to Saturday, June 21 in the Community Centre theatre on Newcastle Bank, Chester-le-Street from 7.15pm.
Anyone who can help is asked to ring Bill Stephenson on 0191-388 5957, or the community centre on 0191-388 4752.
