A DISABLED man involved in an accident with a bus was recovering in hospital last night.
Alwyn Woodcock, 64, who has the rheumatic disease ankylosing spondylitis, suffered a broken neck in the accident in Woodland Road, Darlington, on Tuesday.
His wife, Angela, said he had been walking from a meeting to their home in Hawkesbury Mews when the accident happened.
Mr Woodcock will today undergo surgery on his neck in Middlesbrough General Hospital. Police are investigating the incident.
