THE body of a man has been found lying at the foot of a cliff.
Police are not treating the death, near Guisborough, North Yorkshire, as suspicious, but are keeping an open mind and are appealing to the public for any information.
The man, in his late 20s or early 30s, was found lying next to a red mountain bike at the foot of Highcliff Nab shortly after 8pm on Wednesday.
Police were alerted after a member of the public walking at the beauty-spot found a ring, sunglasses and cigarette lighter on a picnic bench at the top the cliff.
It is not known if the items belonged to the man.
The man was wearing a purple anorak, grey T-shirt, lime green jeans and white trainers.
He was 6ft, with collar-length, black, wiry hair.
