Music fans across the region are just days from a great night of live rock and pop music from three of the North-East's unsigned acts.
The Big Chance competition, produced in partnership by The Northern Echo and TFM radio, is seeking the region's top unsigned act, and offering a fabulous prize.
The winner will receive three days in Sanity Multimedia Studio - a state-of-the-art recording facility in Stockton, and 100 CDs pressed and CD artwork. Artwork will be produced by design firm House of Type.
More than 50 bands and solo artists entered the competition, which began in April, and the final three acts will battle it out on the stage of The Georgian Theatre, Stockton, next Thursday, June 19.
Music fans helped select the finalists with online voting at The Northern Echo's music website, Revolution. Thousands of votes were cast and the finalists are Eskimo, Stone Coda, and 101.
The final playoff promises to be an excellent night of music because the bands are of such high caliber.
Hard rock group Stone Coda hail from Brotton, east Cleveland and their set will include Give Yourself Away, the track they entered in the competition.
Stockton's 101 have a strong fan base and expect to draw a lot of fans to the gig. They will play their entered track Blame It On The Rain during their set.
Richmond-based Eskimo frequent many local festivals and entered a fans' favourite - You Don't Have To Be Angry.
The winner will be selected by a panel of judges made up of TFM's Colin Paterson, Michael Atkinson, web editor at The Northern Echo, and Adam Sayers and Jonathan Burrows of Sanity Multimedia Studio. Steve Harris, TFM DJ, will host the gig.
Tickets are £3 at the door, which opens at 7.30pm.
