CLEVELAND Police are hosting a week-long visit from people who work with children in the Tees Valley and are hoping to gain an insight into policing.
The eight teachers and careers advisors will receive information on the role of the police in child protection and domestic violence issues.
They will also visit Teesside Crown Court to see how the results of police work are dealt with.
Inspector Harry Simpson, who arranged the placement, said: "They will see first-hand how we deal with the sensitive work issues linked with youngsters which can greatly affect their lives both inside and outside their home.
"We arranged a similar scheme for teachers last year, and it was successful, so we decided to run the course again this year."
The participants will also go out on patrol for a day to give them a feel for the problems the police face on a daily basis.
