More than 100 trade stands have already booked into this year's Wykeham Country Fair, which is being held near Scarborough on July 19 and 20.
A few limited pitches are still available in the shopping village. More than 70 vintage and classic vehicles will also take part in a parade. The MG Owners Club will be well represented, with members from all over the country attending. For information on the fair call (01723) 866600.
CERAMIC ART: Gabriele Koch's exhibition of ceramics is on show at the Yorkshire Museum, in York, until Sunday, June 29. It is the only exhibition of the artist's work in the region. The museum is open daily between 10am and 5pm.
THEATRE SPECIAL: Innovative comic artist John Hegley performs at Harrogate Theatre next Friday, at 7.30pm. Tickets are £8.50 to £11.50, available on (01423) 502116.
DANCE CLASSICS: Back by popular demand, the Pasadena Roof Orchestra will be performing at Harrogate Theatre on Saturday, June 21 at 7.30pm. They will be playing a medley of the hottest dance tunes from the 1920s, 1930s and 1940s. Tickets cost between £8.50 and £13 and are available by calling the box office on (01423) 502116.
TIME CAPSULE: Mementoes of 2003 have been buried in a time capsule at the Allertonshire School in Northallerton. The capsule will not be opened until 2028, to give future pupils a glimpse of life in the school in the past.
BISHOP VISITS: The Bishop of Ripon and Leeds, the Right Reverend John Packer, will be at St Andrew's Church, Aysgarth, on Monday, for a confirmation service followed by a bring-and-share supper.
FETE TIME: The League of Friends of the Friarage Hospital in Northallerton are holding their summer fete in the hospital grounds today at 1.30pm.
CHARITY TOTAL: The Thirsk branch of Yorkshire Cancer Research raised £3,555 at its annual summer luncheon at Thirsk Racecourse.
SECURITY WORK: Special security cameras and lights are to be installed at the village pavilion in Catterick. They will cover the hall, car-park, playing field and basketball court.
